  why won't they (the wbt$ head honchos), simply change policy on sex offenders?

  will they?..especially after the arc for eg?

  it seems that with all the bad press and now the arc among other institutions that are exposing the wbt$ for a haven for paedophiles, why hasn't the wbt$ simply changed it's insane policy?.

  i always sit in the same spot, just outside starbucks in a vestibule area with a table in the air-conditioned space.

  i say "always," but not today.. somebody with two laptops and a table filled with business ledgers was in "my" favorite spot!.

  so, i took a tiny wooden table inside the coffee shop on a long padded bench next to 3 other identical tables.. as the clickbait banner ads like to say: "and what happened next was simply unbelievable!".

  Terry, this goes with the topic I put up a week ago, "Do you feel personally vindicated by the RC exposing the WT?"

  Of course you do! You have championed the TTATT and now it has come home to bring such sweet relief. We haven't been petty or vindictive in exposing the bullsh*t and you did what was needed. They weren't wounded, they were called out on their hubris. Don't feel bad. They will sing the songs at the meeting and keep handing out the tracts or standing mutely by the literature cart like before, but perhaps the slap will make them watch the RC this Friday. Take heart ya goof. Pride goeth before a fall. You just fell them is all.

  how the things are going with my sister

  this morning i phoned my sister so as to know how the things are going with her problem with the congregation.

  if i remember well, five weeks ago, my sister was asked by the elders (in the street) to attend a judicial meeting for apostasy.

  my sister told them that she firstly needs a formal letter specifying who is accusing her.

  Once you document that you're suicidal tendency exits you are on the radar of the mental health system and possibly the police. Don't play with fire for these clowns. Don't ever swear to something like that if it isn't true! Its foolish and not in your best interests. Just threaten to sue and move on if they do it, Screw them.

  i was raised a witness, baptized at 16, vacation pioneered, got married, etc.

  i was very much your typical witness and believed it was the truth until last summer.

  a very close relative of mine left the witnesses.

  I'm sorry I have not had that situation. I think though that if you go full out "apostate" in appearance, ie: Birthdays, holidays you are asking to move from fade to DA in your husbands eyes. I would be concerned if my wife sought company of co-workers for a drink after work that we had some serious problems. Maybe you do, maybe not? I don't envy you. Keep a low profile and let him get used to the idea that you are done with it. Perhaps he will open his eyes in time. Do you have kids? Doesn't sound like it. Probably a good thing. Welcome here.   I now hate being called 'sister'

  since waking up i find i am bridling at being called 'sister'.

  but it feels like an identity that is being forced on me.. i feel like shouting "i have a name you know!".

  it is just me or does anyone else recognise this?.

  One time the CO was brought to my house for a introduction considering I hadn't been to the hall in 8 years. They introduced him as "Brother" so and so. I asked his name. He told me and I used it exclusively. The witnesses who brought him were mortified. Thanks for the topic. For the first time I connected the use of "brother or sister" with reinforcing social status and one's place in the Org. We have all heard the inflection change when you are viewed as a spiritual "giant" and again if you are just a bookbag warrior. Great topic. Oh, yes. Don't like the use of it anymore either.   i was very hooked on the rc videos, really interesting to watch.

  i started questioning stuff a couple of months ago.. however there is still a scenario that makes me wonder.

  considering the israelites as god's chosen people and the kings as anointed, the bible shows many bad decisions the people made, including the rulers that were anointed.

  Don't take this too harshly but if you look at Greek Mythology you find that the Gods conveniently have "human" attributes that are played out in their various roles in the pantheon of deities. They are petty, jealous, violent and show all the aspects of humanity. Jehovah was a harvest God for the Jews and older civilizations before. Now you can research and find out WITHOUT WT indoctrination the TTATT. (The truth about the truth). In time you will come to sound conclusions about the Bible and other subjects. Me?   Watchtower sued for Racketeering in California

  a little birdie informed me that a lawsuit against the watchtower bible & tract society, its legal department, and several individuals (perhaps lawyers in the legal department) has been filed in the superior court of the state of california, county of los angeles for, wait for it.... racketeering!.

  that's right, folks, you heard it here first.

  i have no other information, other than the case was stamped "aug 07 2015" and the docket number appears to be bc590675.

  A Catholic used the RICO law to hang the Catholic church: "The Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, known as the RICO statute, is usually used in prosecutions of organized-crime cases. By filing that kind of suit, the lawyers are calling the Catholic Church a criminal enterprise." I assume this victim must have a strategy. The Watchtower is definitely a criminal enterprise. This will be interesting. I think the damn has broken!
